Research

Recent research indicates that compounds featuring low-valent and -coordinate main-group element centers display high reactivity, enabling them to mimic transition metals in interacting with inert small molecules such as CO, C2H4, or H2. Research in our group is focused on low-valent main-group element chemistry, with the following aims:

1) Designing and synthesizing highly reactive main-group compounds in low-valent states and examining their reactivity.

2) Synthesizing novel transition metal complexes supported by low-valent main-group elements and investigating their reactivity.
